Using the earth’s resources sparingly and always thinking about future generations: that is our aspiration, which we bring to life along the entire value chain. In the vineyard, during bottling and not least in the choice of our suppliers.
Short transportation routes are the key to sustainable business. That is why we source all materials such as glass, labels, cardboard and screw caps exclusively from local companies. From the glass bottle to the aluminum caps, our packaging materials are almost completely recyclable. We also reduce the weight of the glass and use lightweight glass for all varieties.
Back in 2015, we commissioned a new bottling plant that makes production more efficient and uses less energy. In addition, our production halls and warehouses are insulated using state-of-the-art technology and do not require their own cooling or heating systems.
We are also increasingly relying on self-generated solar power. In summer 2021, for example, we commissioned a photovoltaic system that supplies our winery with clean solar energy. A first step towards an independent, climate-friendly energy future, which will be followed by others in the near future.
